Mobile Content Creator
About the role
We are looking for a Mobile Content Creator to capture the vibe of Wordliners, from our open mics, book club, creative cycle, and community moments using just a phone.
You will tell our story in short, engaging videos (Reels, TikToks, Shorts).
Responsibilities
1- Cover all Wordliners events (Open Mic, Book Club, Movie Club, Workshops) with mobile video and photos.
2- Create 3-5 short-form videos per event on Reels, TikToks, behind-the-scenes.
3- Edit videos quickly for posting within 24 hours after events.
4- Work with Design and Social Media team to follow content calendar.
5- Capture interviews, vox pops, and crowd reactions from creatives.
6- Keep an organized archive of raw footage and content.
7- Suggest trendy audio, formats, and creative ideas to keep us relevant.
Requirements
1- Must be based in Kano and available for physical events.
2- Own a smartphone with good camera (iPhone or high-quality Android).
3- Proven experience creating content for Instagram / TikTok (share your handle or portfolio).
4- Basic experience with CapCut, VN, InShot, or Premiere Rush.
5- Passion for literature, youth community, and creative culture is a plus.
6- Ability to work evenings/weekends during events.
