Graphics Designer
About the role
We are looking for a Graphics Designer to own the visual identity of Wordliners Nigeria.
You will be the person behind how we look online and offline from open mic flyers to book club posters, social media templates, and proposals. Your design will make people stop, read, and want to attend.
Responsibilities
1- Design all event flyers from Open Mic, Book Club, Movie Club, Creative Cycle, Workshops.
2- Create social media designs like carousels, quotes, announcements, countdowns, recaps.
3- Maintain our brand identity from colors, fonts, logo usage, templates across all designs.
4- Work with content and program teams to interpret ideas into visuals.
5- Deliver designs at least 3-4 days before events for review and posting.
6- Create print-ready designs when needed — banners, tags, certificates.
7- Keep an organized archive of all design files (editable + exported).
8- Stay updated on design trends and bring fresh ideas for our community aesthetic
Requirements
1- Must have proven graphics design experience — share portfolio / Behance / Instagram page.
2- Proficient in at least one: Canva (Pro), Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, or CorelDRAW.
3- Must be able to deliver fast during event seasons — especially open mic month.
4- Based anywhere is okay but must meet online deadlines and attend virtual reviews.
5- Ability to take feedback and revise quickly.
6- Passion for literature, youth culture, and creative storytelling is a plus
